Terms of service
Last updated May 12, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Unison, a hosted social media scheduling and analytics service operated by Unison, Inc. ("Unison", "we", "us") at unison.ink. By creating an account or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
Unison is a paid software-as-a-service product that lets you compose, schedule and publish content to third-party social networks (currently X, Telegram, Threads, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Mastodon and Pinterest), receive replies into a unified inbox, and view publishing analytics. The service is hosted by Unison; we do not distribute a self-hosted version.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Unison. By signing up you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@unison.ink if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable use
When using Unison you agree to comply with our Acceptable Use Policy and not to:
- Publish content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, harassing, or that promotes violence or hate.
- Use Unison to send spam, run coordinated inauthentic behaviour, or evade the abuse, anti-spam or platform-manipulation policies of any connected network.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
- Resell, sublicense, or expose Unison functionality to third parties as a standalone product.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with notice where reasonable.
4. Connected third-party networks
Unison publishes to and reads data from third-party social networks on your behalf, using each network's official developer APIs. By connecting a network you:
- Authorize Unison to act on your behalf within the scopes you grant (typically: read your profile, publish content you submit through Unison, read replies and basic analytics on the content Unison publishes).
- Agree to be bound by each connected network's own terms, including without
limitation:
- X (formerly Twitter) Developer Agreement & Policy
- Meta (Instagram, Facebook, Threads) Platform Terms
- LinkedIn API Terms of Use
- TikTok Developer Terms of Service
- YouTube API Services Terms of Service
- Pinterest Developer Guidelines
- Bluesky AT Protocol terms applicable to your connected instance.
- Mastodon instance rules applicable to your connected server.
- Telegram Bot Terms of Service.
You acknowledge that these networks are independent services. We do not control them, do not guarantee their availability, and are not responsible for content moderation decisions, downtime, rate limits, API changes or account actions taken by them. If a network removes or restricts your access your use of Unison's features for that network may be suspended.
5. Use of YouTube API services
Unison's YouTube features use YouTube API Services. By using those features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge Google's Privacy Policy. You may revoke Unison's access to your YouTube account at any time via the Google security settings page.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create, schedule or publish through Unison ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, display and process Your Content solely to operate the service for you (for example: to render a preview, queue a post, deliver it to the connected network, fetch the reply thread, compute aggregate analytics).
You represent that you have all necessary rights to Your Content and that publishing it via Unison will not violate any third-party rights or any applicable law.
7. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Unison offers a Free plan and paid Pro and Team plans. Pricing is shown on unison.ink/pricing and may change with at least 30 days notice to existing paying customers, with changes applying to renewals.
All payments are collected by our payment processor Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. for EU/EEA/UK customers, Stripe, Inc. elsewhere) under their own Services Agreement and Privacy Policy. Card details are entered directly on Stripe's hosted fields and Unison never stores card numbers, CVC or any sensitive payment data. The contract for the Unison subscription remains between you and Unison; Stripe acts solely as the payment intermediary.
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, in the currency shown at checkout. Annual plans are billed once for the year. Sales tax or VAT is added where required.
You can cancel from billing settings at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of the current period are available on request to hello@unison.ink. We do not refund completed billing periods or charges incurred more than 30 days before the refund request, except where required by law.
If a charge fails we may retry, and we may suspend or downgrade your account if a balance remains unpaid for more than 14 days.
8. Free plan
The Free plan is offered indefinitely, subject to fair use limits (currently 2 connected channels and 10 published posts per month, without analytics or inbox). Limits may change with notice. We may rate-limit, suspend, or remove Free accounts that abuse the plan.
9. Beta features
We may label some features as "beta" or "preview". Beta features are provided as is, may change or be removed without notice, and are not covered by any service-level commitments.
10. Intellectual property
Unison and its logos, design, source code and documentation are the property of Unison, Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks. You may not copy, modify or distribute the software outside of normal use of the hosted service.
11. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. By using Unison you acknowledge those policies.
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including without limitation merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific post will be successfully delivered to any connected network. Network downtime, API rate limits, account-level restrictions and platform policy changes are outside of our control.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Unison, its affiliates, officers, employees or suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or content, arising out of or in connection with the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the liability, or USD $100.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Unison, its affiliates, officers, employees and suppliers from any claim, demand, loss or damages, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of Your Content, your use of the service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right or applicable law.
15. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account from account settings or by writing to hello@unison.ink. Account deletion process and timelines are described in the Data Deletion Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or the terms of a connected network.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect for existing customers. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any jurisdiction.
If you are based in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, nothing in these Terms displaces any non-waivable rights you may have under your local mandatory consumer-protection law.
